Fashions fade, style is eternal.

I have often said that I wish I had invented blue jeans: the most spectacular, the most practical, the most relaxed and nonchalant. They have expression, modesty, sex appeal, simplicity - all I hope for in my clothes.

I do not seek. I find.

What is a face, really? Its own photo? Its make-up? Or is it a face as painted by such or such painter? That which is in front? Inside? Behind? And the rest? Doesn't everyone look at himself in his own particular way? Deformations simply do not exist.

You will never be perfect

"He's not perfect. You aren't either, and the two of you will never be perfect. But if he can make you laugh at least once, causes you to think twice, and if he admits to being human and making mistakes, hold on to him and give him the most you can. He isn't going to quote poetry, he's not thinking about you every moment, but he will give you a part of him that he knows you could break. Don't hurt him, don't change him, and don't expect more than he can give. Don't analyze. Smile when he makes you happy, yell when he makes you mad, and miss him when he's not there. Love hard when there is love to be had. Because perfect guys don't exist, but there's always one guy that is perfect for you."

- Bob Marley

Excuse me while I kiss the sky

“I didn’t ask Jimi to smile, he just naturally was quite smiley, and we laughed quite a lot at the session. That was the first session in ’67, and funnily enough most young men in music, young musicians, want to look mean, moody and sexy.”

- Gered Mankowitz (Photographer)

I don't think when I make love

I am a bird now

I was aware of people staring at me. No one moved. They seemed almost in trance. I just stared at the clock in the center of the church. When I finished, everyone clapped and started crying.

The body never lies

I did not want to be a tree, a flower or a wave. In a dancer's body, we as audience must see ourselves, not the imitated behavior of everyday actions, not the phenomenon of nature, not exotic creatures from another planet, but something of the miracle that is a human being.

Immortality

If a man can bridge the gap between life and death, if he can live on after he's dead, then maybe he was a great man.

Tutus for Tennis

Designer Teddy Tinling had reason to know what makes a good tennis dress. For 22 years, until the flare-up over Miss Moran's pants caused him to resign, he was Master of Ceremonies of the center court at Wimbledon. He dressed almost every important woman player—and about half of the men, including Seixas and Trabert. Mass-produced copies of his custom-designed Wimbledon costumes were also sold to more than 10,000 less well-known but equally ardent players in England and in America.

Sweet Love - Anita!

I don't let people use me. That's why I like a small number of people in my life. The more people in my life, the more complex it becomes, so I just try to keep it at a minimum.
